My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Hawaii Nautical. We visited Hawaii for our 20th wedding anniversary and my husband wanted to try scuba diving for the first time and I wanted to snorkel. They picked us up at our hotel and took us to the port that we sailed out from. Our captain and staff were very welcoming and friendly and made us feel right at home. Refreshments were provided as was all the equipment needed for diving and snorkeling. The diving instructor was great and my husband had an awesome first-time dive experience. We highly recommend Hawaii Nautical and will definitely be going back on our next visit.

Cons: Hawaii Nautical only has one boat for SCUBA trips. Our trip was canceled due to mechanical trouble the morning of the excursion. They called us at our scheduled pickup time. We had a party of 9 for a combined SCUBA / snorkel trip (kids). They could not offer the possibility of a trip later in the day due to availability of their SCUBA instructors. We could not reschedule.
Pros: Hawaii Nautical picks up from Disney's Aulani resort and they offer SCUBA and snorkel.
Captain Mosh and his crew were phenomenal!!! We are here on our honeymoon and booked this excursion through Disney’s Aulani resort. Both Matt, our Disney cast member, and the Hawaii nautical group were very knowledgeable and informative of the islands as well as marine life. We snorkeled alongside some beautiful fish and sea turtles. We also got to hold a pin cushion star fish pulled up from the reef below. Awesome!!!!!!! The food and drinks included were delicious and the experience is geared to any age group. We had a blast! Highly recommend!
Did the Scuba for beginners. Snorkeled at the first dive spot after instruction. Dove at the second. Saw tons of fish and some eels. Going to have to get certified and go again. Totally recommend it for those wanting to do more than just snorkel. Pick up and drop off from the Marriott.
Recommendation: Book well in advance of the end of your trip and plan to reschedule if needed. They don't plan for contingencies so you'll have to. They get two stars because they were empathetic and tried to accommodate a reschedue, but didn't have a backup plan.
